SHEBOYGAN — A 17-year-old was injured after a Sheboygan man allegedly attacked the teen with a hammer.
25-year-old Brandon L. Moua, of 1623 North 23rd Street in Sheboygan, was charged Monday in Sheboygan County Court with felony first-degree recklessly endangering safety. Cash bond was set at $5,000.
According to the criminal complaint, a 17-year-old boy was at a friend’s house in the 1700 block of North 13th Street when three individuals pulled up in front of the residence. The individuals entered the residence and said they were looking for marijuana. Another individual at the residence handed the boy a small amount of marijuana to roll into a blunt for everyone to smoke.
When the boy rolled the blunt, the individual who had given him the marijuana accused him of stealing some of what he had been given. At that point, Moua, picked up a hammer and struck the boy in the head two to three times.
The hammer was described as a claw hammer.
After being attacked, the boy left the residence and went to Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
