SHEBOYGAN — The Sheboygan Railroad Museum will hold a free open house this weekend.
The family-friendly event will be held from 9 AM to 4 PM on Saturday, April 14th and Sunday, April 15th at 1001 North 10th Street in Sheboygan. Admission is free and includes a train show.
All the trains will be running. There are model railroads in six different scales, each with a particular theme in mind to show just how railroads serve in various areas of the country. There’s even a layout that the kids can run.
Founded in 1977, the Sheboygan Society of Scale Model Railroad Engineers owns the museum building and strives for the preservation of railroad history, both prototype and models. It has a large collection of railroad antiques, some dating back more than 100 years, according to the museum.
