George A. Schamberger
George A. Schamberger, age 92, of Plymouth, passed away on Sunday (April 15, 2018) at Kindred Hearts in Plymouth where he had been a resident for the past year.
He was born on August 5, 1925, in Oshkosh, WI, a son of the late Jerome and Margaret (Busha) Schamberger.
He attended Mapledale Grade School in the Town of Sheboygan and Holy Name Catholic School in Sheboygan and graduated from Elkhart Lake High School in 1943. He continued on with his education at the Mission House and Wisconsin Institute of Technology.
George served in the United States Navy during World War II, serving in the South Pacific and Philippine’s. He later served in the U.S. Naval Reserve for 5 years.
On November 26, 1949 he married Elaine Fenner in Milwaukee. In addition to living in Sheboygan County, George and Elaine resided in Houston, TX for 23 years.
George was employed at P.I.P./Ametek for 15 years and at Standco Company for 23 years. His wife preceded him in death on June 23, 2015.
George was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth. He was a member of the Society of Plastics Engineers and past president of Toastmasters in Sheboygan.
He is survived by: Three children: Karen (Bob) Harris of Gold Canyon, AZ, Chuck (Mary) Schamberger of Plymouth, and Steven (Jill) Schamberger of Arlington, VA; Grandchildren: Peter (fiancée: Nelly) Eernisse, Heidi Nigen, Gerry (Sara) Schamberger, Larry (Katie) Schamberger, Gwenn Schamberger and Eric Schamberger; Great-grandchildren: Grayson, Oliver, Greta, Isaac, and Oscar; Brothers and sisters: Beatrice Hafemann of Plymouth, Audrey Blanke of Plymouth, Carol Kahn of Menomonee Falls, Patricia Kalis of Milwaukee, Kitty (Roland) Thede of Kiel, Chris (Glen) Limberg of Elkhart Lake, Susan (Wayne) Goetsch of Plymouth, Sandra (Mike) Bruneau of Medford, Richard (Marsha) Schamberger of Elkhart Lake, Jim (Pam) Schamberger of West Bend, Jermoe (Jill) Schamberger of West Bend and Peter (Kitty) Schamberger of Mequon.
He is also survived by nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine; two brothers: Thomas and Gerald Schamberger, twin great-grandchildren: Gabriel and Abigail Schamberger, one infant sister: Anita, and sister: Shirley Augoulas.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday (April 21, 2018) at 12 Noon at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Rev. John Schultz, Pastor at St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth will officiate. Cremation has taken place and George’s remains will be placed in the Arlington National Cemetery.
Visitation will take place at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth on Saturday (April 21) from 10:30 A.M. until the time of services at Noon.
The Plymouth VFW World Cheese Center Post # 5612 will conduct military rites following the services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in George’s name.

Curtis Jiles Lawrence
Curtis Jiles Lawrence, 63, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 16, 2018, at his home.
Curtis was born on October 18, 1954, in Sheboygan, WI to Charles and Donna (Kienberger) Lawrence. He attended Sheboygan Falls High School.
On May 28, 1977, Curtis married Deborah Schaller in Sheboygan. Curtis was employed at Bemis for 47 years until his retirement in 2017.
He enjoyed watching football and racing, driving his mustang, cooking, caring for his vehicles, home, his two dogs, and his wife, Debbie. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and going to Terry’s with his friends on Fridays.
Curtis is survived by his wife, Deborah Lawrence; son, Robert (Summer) Lawrence of Sheboygan Falls, WI; daughter, Carrie (Derek) Scharenbroch; six grandchildren; Carter, Kaitlyn, Claire, Ava, Braylon, Madden; sister, Carol Jean Karls; brother, Terry (Sue) Lawrence; eight sister-in-laws, Carrie Lawrence, Julie Schmidt, Diane (David) Knaus, Beverly (Wayne) Henke, Sharon (Dale) Peterson, Sue Carpenter, Pat (Gordon) Rammer, Jackie (Keith) Oppeneer; six brother-in-laws, Jim (Deb), Mike (Tammy), Steve, Jeff (MaryJo), Tim, and David (Lorena) Schaller. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Curtis was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Donna Lawrence; three brothers, Chuck (Sue) Lawrence, Roger Lawrence, Bobby Lawrence; parents-in-law, Roman Sr. and Loretta Schaller; and two brothers-in-law, Wally Schmidt and Roman Schaller, Jr.
A funeral service to celebrate Curtis’ life will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018, at 1pm at the Wenig Funeral Home of Sheboygan Falls. A private family burial will take place at Sheboygan Falls Cemetery. Relatives and friends may greet the family for a time of visitation at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 am until the time of service at 1pm.
A memorial fund is being established in his name.

Stephanie M. Zill
Stephanie M. Zill, age 36, of Oostburg went to be with her Lord on Saturday, April 14, 2018.
Stephanie was born on March 8, 1982 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Ricky Zill and Julie Schoemer. She graduated from Sheboygan South High School, class of 2001.
Stephanie will be remembered for her positive attitude and her smile that lit up any room she was in. She loved attending classes at RCS with some of her favorites including; art, cooking, grooming, and positive value classes. Christmas time was her favorite holiday and she knew every word to every Christmas carol. Stephanie loved the warm sun, a nice warm bath, and warm fleece pajamas. She enjoyed going to Camp Evergreen in Sheboygan and Camp Wawbeek in Wisconsin Dells every summer. Stephanie found joy in playing games, whether it be bible trivia, Uno, or Monopoly.
Her kind heart and amazing outlook on life will forever be missed and will always be remembered.
Stephanie is survived by her mother Julie (Larry) Schoemer; father Ricky (Sandra) Zill; uncle Clifford (Mary) Eldridge; aunts, Connie Justus and Charlotte Nieland; and special friend Heather Drews. Other relatives and many friends further survive. She is preceded in death by a brother Cory Zill; her maternal grandparents Bob (Joan) Eldridge; paternal grandparents Elmer Zill and Lorraine Eigenberger and an uncle Elmer Zill Jr.
Funeral services for Stephanie will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral and Cremation Care Center, 1201 N. 8th St. in Sheboygan, with Pastor Christian Gugel officiating. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 12:00 PM. Stephanie will be laid to rest in Lutheran Cemetery in Sheboygan.

Diana L. Schaefer
Diana L. Schaefer, 61, of School Hill died unexpectedly on Friday April 13, 2018 at her home.
She is the former Diana Hemb, born on June 13, 1956 daughter of the late Frederick & Roma (Seifert) Hemb. Diana was raised in School Hill and was a 1974 graduate of Kiel High School. On February 2, 1975 she was united in marriage to Dan Schaefer in Manitowoc.
Diana worked for Rex Clean before owning and operating D&D Diner in Valders. She later worked at Felician Village and most Recently for Kwik Trip, Kiel in the bakery. She enjoyed bowling in the couples leagues and was a member of the Pyrotechnics Guild International (P.G.I.). She enjoyed taking trips with Dan to the Casino, but was happiest helping out her friends and family, especially the time she could spend with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Dan, two sons; Travis (Megan) Schaefer of Manitowoc, Jeremiah (Heidi) Schaefer of Kiel (School Hill) grandchildren; Caleb, Evan & Brielle, Kasey, Max, Mason & Kameron. Diana is further survived by her brothers and sisters; Joan (Bob) Loebbaka, MarJean (Jerry) Gutschow, Darlene Steffen (Verlyn Voland), Sharilyn (Dan) Wusterbarth, Betty Fellner (Rod Frankovis), Randy (Mary) Hemb, Paula (Jim) Haelfrisch, Eric Hemb, brother-in-law; Larry Steffen along with numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister; Barbara (Jack) Mayer and a brother-in-law; Robert Fellner.
According to Diana’s wishes cremation has taken place. A private family get together will take place at a later date. Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
