Shay L. Orvis
Shay Lynn Orvis, age 39, of Sheboygan, died unexpectedly on Monday, March 19, 2018 at her home.
She was born in Madison, WI on August 3, 1978, the daughter of Kirk Blanchette and Parmalee Orvis. She attended local schools and graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1996. Shay was employed as a CNA at Sunny Ridge Health Care and Rehab., for three years and most recently was a working at Imogene’s Cleaning Center. Shay was a current member of First Congregational United Church of Christ in Sheboygan.
In her younger years she was involved in beauty pageants and color guard groups. Shay was a member of the Accents, Buccaneers, Classic Reunion and Montage color guards.
Survivors include her parents, Parmalee (fiancée Russ) Orvis and Kirk (special friend Sherrie) Blanchette; a son, Dakota Orvis; sisters, Sarah (Jason) Knoll, Rose (Randy) Rebane, Angela (Antonio) Ramirez , Jackie Pohlman, Amy Portschy and Amanda Brown; her brothers, William Blanchette and Allan Brown; and her God Parents, Markus and Claudia Orvis.
Shay is further survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by a brother, Troy Allan and her maternal grandparents, Ronald and Bernice Orvis.
A celebration of Shay’s life will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at the Emil Mazey Hall, 5425 Superior Ave., Town of Sheboygan with Rev. James H. Hollister officiating. Family and friends may gather at the hall from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established and may be directed to her son Dakota Orvis.
Annette M. Vogel
Annette M. Vogel, of Sheboygan, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Sunny Ridge Rehabilitation Center, her home of the last 4 years, due to complications of pneumonia. She was 70 years old.
Annette was born July 28, 1947 in Appleton, the daughter of Frederick and Marion (nee Miersch) Zastrow. For part of her childhood, she was raised by her aunt and uncle, Josephine and Hilarian “Lefty” Hauch of Sheboygan. She attended Trinity Lutheran School in Menasha, and graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1965. After graduation, she attended Madison Area Technical College where she earned a nursing degree. As an LPN, she worked for the VNA, as well as Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Hospital, St. Nicholas Hospital and Meadowview Manor.
On August 30, 1969, she was united in marriage with Gordon Vogel at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sheboygan.
Annette was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sheboygan, where she actively volunteered for numerous causes, including the church library, as well as Bethesda Thrift Store and Neat Repeats. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, reading, bible study, crafts and spending time with her grandson.
Annette is survived by her husband Gordon of Sheboygan and two sons: Eric (Dawn) Vogel of Middleton and Marc Vogel of Chicago, IL. She is further survived by her grandson Jason Vogel, her brother David Zastrow (Jeffrey Ferraro) of Wilton Manors, FL, special cousin Kenneth (Patricia) Zastrow of Sheboygan, sister-in-law Larvelle (Gene) Herber of Madison, brother-in-law Bob (Cindy) Vogel of Elkhart Lake, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12 noon on Monday, April 16, 2018 at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral and Cremation Care Center, 1201 N. 8th St. in Sheboygan. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00am – 12:00 noon.

Sharon M. Schoenfeld
Sharon Marie Schoenfeld, 77, of Plymouth, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls.
Sharon was born April 14, 1940 to Charles and Fern (Koehler) Nelson. She was a 1958 graduate of Plymouth High School and she also received her teaching certificate from Sheboygan County Teacher’s College in 1960. On June 24, 1961, she married Ron Schoenfeld. Sharon taught at Elkhart Lake Elementary School until she and Ron started their family.
Sharon was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother and took her household duties seriously. She enjoyed baking with her grandchildren, sewing, ceramics, knitting, rosemaling, stained glass, genealogy, lunch with the ’58er’s, and WTMJ4.
Sharon enjoyed her adventures with Ron, especially traveling to Maine and Michigan, Ireland, Disney World, and Door County. They enjoyed camping, 50-mile bike rides, the Mackinac Bridge Walk, and cemetery walks.
Sharon was a member of Salem United Church of Christ and had been a youth leader, taught church school, confirmation, was a member of Willing Workers, Naomi Circle, and formed Helping Hands and Sunshine Circle, served on the Consistory, made baptismal banners, and coordinated funeral luncheons.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Ron, of 56 years, and four daughters; Amy (Jeff) Buechel of Plymouth; Anne Hernandez of Plymouth; Nancy Schoenfeld of Kuwait; Natalie Richart of West Bend; seven grandchildren, John, Jill, and Kate Buechel, Amanda (John) Camalick and Austin Hernandez, and Nicole and Katie Richart; a sister, Barb Englebretson, of Mauston; and a sister-in-law, Rita Ihly, of Bellingham, WA. She is also survived by numerous cousins and nieces and nephews.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Tom Nelson; parents-in-law, Arno and Ida Schoenfeldt and Charles and Ramona Ottenstein; brothers-in-law, Lee Schoenfeldt.and Kurt Englebretson.
A funeral service to celebrate Sharon’s life will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at noon at Salem United Church of Christ in Plymouth, with Rev. James Hoppert officiating. Burial will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may greet the family on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the church from 10 am until the time of service at noon.
A memorial fund is being established in her name for Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice and Salem United Church of Christ Memorial Fund.

H. Gene Buchmann
H. Gene Buchmann, age 67, of Kiel, died unexpectedly at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay, on Monday morning, April 9, 2018 after suffering a heart attack. Gene died peacefully with his family by his side.
He was born December 16, 1950 son of the late Harvey and Laura (Knowles) Buchmann in Sheboygan. Gene attended Kiel High School graduating with the class of 1969. Gene furthered his education in Auto Body and Auto Body Management in Milwaukee.
On August 15, 1970 he was united in marriage to Janice Conrad at St. Peter UCC, Kiel. He was an instrumental part of starting the auto body shop at Vogel’s Chevrolet. He dedicated himself to his work for 47 years until his retirement in January of 2017. Gene’s dedication to the auto body shop gained him many longtime customers that evolved into lifelong friendships. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Kiel, serving as a past council member. Gene had a love for cars and enjoyed going for rides. He was a fan of NASCAR, which included trips to Daytona with Janice. Gene also loved to travel especially his time at Disney. He had a wonderful sense of humor. His true pride and joy was his family, especially the time he could spend with his grandchildren.
Gene is survived by his wife of 47years; Janice, two daughters: Tracy (Jeff) Sabel, Valders and Amy (Richard) Klunck, Sheboygan; five grandchildren: Maddie Sabel, Brayden Sabel, Quintin Klunck (Fiance Shanna Gordon), Abigail Klunck (Matt) and Mason Klunck; two great grandchildren: Brantley and Olivia; his siblings: Yvonne (Al) Gagne, Philip Sr. Buchmann, Charles (Nancy) Buchmann, Duane (Linda) Buchmann, and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Larry (Mary) Conrad, Lee (Rita) Conrad, Jenny Lynn (Glenn) Hansmann. Gene is further survived by many special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey & Laura, stepfather: Clarence Jaschob, sister-in-law: Vickie Buchmann, brother-in-law: Sheffey Massey, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Lyle & Jeannette Conrad.
Funeral Service for Gene will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday April 14, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church, (387 Cemetery Road), Kiel. Officiating at the service will be Rev. David Laabs, with burial to follow in the Kiel City Cemetery
The family will greet relatives and friends at Church on Saturday, April 14, 2018 from 10:00AM until 12:45PM when brief family rites will be held.
