OOSTBURG — A man from Oostburg is accused of assaulting his older brother.
20-year-old Jakob T. Brunner, of 828 Center Avenue in Oostburg, was charged with misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct.
According to the criminal complaint, at approximately 12:02 AM on Wednesday, April 11th, a deputy was dispatched to St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan to meet with a male party who reported being assaulted by his brother.
The victim told the deputy that earlier that night, he was getting ready for work when he heard loud pounding and banging coming from the basement area of his residence in Oostburg. The victim went down to the basement and knocked on Brunner’s door, who also resides at the residence. Brunner reportedly began to yell at the victim. When the victim asked his brother to come out of the room so they could speak, the victim told the deputy Brunner charged at him.
The two ended up on the ground and the victim attempted to place Brunner in a hold to keep him from hitting him. Brunner was punching and kneeing the victim. The deputy observed the victim had a swollen and lacerated lip and scratches to the lower left forearm. The victim also had scratches and abrasions to his chest, right abdominal area, left arm, and left hand.
