SHEBOYGAN — The School District of Random Lake received a donation of three defibrillators.
Becky Kuehmichel and Dennis Schulz of the disbanded Batavia Fire Department presented three defibrillators to the School District of Random Lake. The two reached out to the school district asking if they could help with a donation. The donated units are valued at a total of over $5,000.
A defibrillator, also known as AED, is a portable device that delivers an electric shock through the chest to the heart. The new devices are intended to be used by the general public when needed as voice prompts guide the user through the process.
“The donation helps to keep our students, staff, and community safe,” said Mike Trimberger, Random Lake Schools Superintendent. “It also is going to allow our new Security and Protective Services career pathway access to an AED to use in the curriculum.”
