Friday, March 16th
Art exhibition opens at Plymouth Arts Center
The Wisconsin Designer Crafts Council (WDCC) Biennial Members Exhibition opens in Gallery 110 North of the Plymouth Arts Center Friday, March 16. The public is invited to meet the artists at the opening reception from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM. The exhibition will highlight the juried work of over 30 member artists. The exhibition will be on display through Friday, May 4th.
Fish Fry at Plymouth’s St. John the Baptist
Fish Fry at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 116 Pleasant Street, in the Parish Hall featuring perch and homemade desserts with side choices of American potato salad, cheesy noodles, or chips. New this year, enjoy a beer with your fish fry. Carryouts are available 4 PM-7 PM. Prices: Large $11, Small $8, Vegetarian $5.
Celtic Pops Concert
Join the members of the Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah High School Band and Choir when they present a Celtic Pops Concert on Friday and Saturday at 6:30 PM in the high school’s Mauk Auditorium. Enjoy an evening featuring a host of classic Celtic folk songs, reels and jigs. Throw in some Highland Games and dancing – this concert is going to be nothing but fun– -for the musicians and audience alike! The event offers entertainment for the entire family. Tickets are $5.00 at the door.

Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser at Applebee’s
The Kiwanis Clubs of Greater Sheboygan and Sheboygan Falls will be hosting their biannual pancake breakfast to raise funds to provide iPads to children with autism in Sheboygan County at Applebee’s, 526 South Taylor Drive in Sheboygan. From 8 AM to 10 AM, breakfast includes a short stack of flap jacks, sausage, and coffee, soda, orange juice, or milk. Tickets to the event are $7 and can be purchased in advance from members of the Kiwanis clubs, or can be purchased at the door on the day of the event.
WinterGreen at Mead Library
Mead Public Library will celebrate the start of spring by hosting a day of free, green-themed workshops and activities for all ages. WinterGreen, which runs from 10 AM to 4 PM will include programs on beekeeping, birding, computer recycling, local food, gardening, landscaping, upcycling, yoga and more. Bluebird Birdhouse Workshop
Are you interested in attracting bluebirds to your backyard? Would you like to learn more about the habitat that will bring them there? Do you want to build a birdhouse for your yard? Take part in this popular annual workshop at 1 PM at the Kohler-Andrae State Park.
There will be a short program addressing many of your questions. Then the birdhouses will be assembled from kits which cost $7 Participants are asked to bring a hammer if they have one. Come alone, with a friend, or bring the family; however, children must be accompanied by an adult.

Shamrocks & Shenanigans
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at the Plymouth Arts Center with their 13th annual Irish music show. Shake off those winter blues and anticipate Spring with all things green while enjoying Shamrocks & Shenanigans. Show times are Saturday, March 17 at 2 PM and 7:30 PM. 32nd Annual Maywood Flapjack Day
Join us for some sweet activities and learn about Wisconsin’s rich maple sugaring history. Enjoy an all-you-care-to-eat pancake breakfast. Tickets are $5 in advance or $6 at the door and include pancakes and a beverage. The pancake breakfast is from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Sausages can be purchased at the event. Kids 4 and younger eat free. Participate in free activities including maple forest and sugar house tours, kids crafts, and more. Proceeds of this event support the construction of a new outdoor education shelter.
