SHEBOYGAN — The Sheboygan Police Department will now be accepting applications for employment continuously.
In past hiring processes, the police department announced openings and accepted applications for a very specific time period leading up to a hiring process. In order to identify the best candidate pools, the department is now accepting applications on a continuous basis.
A continuous application period allows people who are interested in a position with the Sheboygan Police Department to place an application on file with us at a time that is convenient for them. Applications will still be screened and scored, with the most qualified candidates being invited to interview and assess with members of the police department.
“By allowing people to submit applications year round, we hope to identify and attract more applicants into our hiring process,” said Captain Steve Cobb.
Applications submitted to the police department will be retained for screening for a period of one year. Advanced screening and assessments will take place when it becomes necessary to create a pool of eligible candidates but no less frequently than once a year added Cobb.
