SHEBOYGAN — A Sheboygan man has been charged with two alleged domestic abuse incidents.
23-year-old Jesus J. Raygoza, of 1545 North Avenue, was charged with two counts of disorderly conduct and domestic abuse for two separate incidents that occurred in late January and early February.
According to the criminal complaints, Sheboygan Police were first called on January 25th for a report of a domestic disturbance that took place on North Avenue. The victim’s mother reported that her daughter had gotten into a physical altercation with her boyfriend during their child exchange. An officer immediately noticed the victim’s lip appeared to be swollen and bloody, and there was dried blood on her chin.
The victim told police that she went to Raygoza’s home to drop off their daughter that day. While she was there, Raygoza accused her of seeing another man. The victim told police he kept nagging and accusing her. The argument continued to escalate, until the man grabbed her bottom lip, squeezed and pulled on it.
Then police were called on February 9th to a south side Sheboygan apartment complex in response to a disturbance. The victim told police that Raygoza was inside her apartment, passed out on her bed. She said that he had come to her apartment that morning and he was heavily intoxicated. She asked him to leave after some time, but he was agitated because he had been drinking.
He then hit her on the right cheek of her face with an open hand according to the criminal complaint.
The victim said that she attempted to call police and Raygoza hit the top of her hand to keep from calling. At one point, he swung his hand at the victim and hit the child the victim was holding. He then went into her bedroom and fell asleep on her bed.
