SHEBOYGAN — An 18-year-old Sheboygan man was arrested after allegedly stabbing two teens during a drug deal that went bad on the city’s southwest side.
Dacota W. Anton, of Adell, was charged Tuesday in Sheboygan County Court with misdemeanor attempt to manufacture/deliver THC and misdemeanor bail jumping after an incident last weekend.
According to the criminal complaint, Sheboygan Police were called to Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center on Sunday, February 11th after two teens came to the emergency room after being stabbed. Both teenagers received medical attention, including stitches to stab wounds to the leg and hand. One teen was stabbed in the chest.
The teens went to Esslingen Park located near South Taylor Drive and Indiana Avenue. One teen told police that when they arrived at that location, there was a tan Dodge two-door Dakota style pickup already in the parking lot. The teen said he observed a male, later identified as Anton, get into the vehicle. Approximately five to ten minutes later, one of the teens and Anton start to punch each other.
A third teenager told police that he had received a Snapchat from Anton about purchasing a small amount of marijuana. They met the man at the park, and Anton jumped in the backseat between the two stabbing victims. Anton then showed them marijuana and that’s when a scuffle broke out.
When questioned by police, Anton originally said he was at the park to sell Pokémon chargers to the teenagers. However, Anton later admitted to police that he was selling marijuana. He said he was going to sell marijuana to three teenagers, all of which were 16-years-old. Anton said the three boys were going to pool their money together to purchase a 1/4 pound of marijuana for $580.00.
He said that Pokémon chargers were not involved in the deal.
Anton told police he felt very threatened during the fight, pulled out a knife and swung because he was being robbed and beaten up according to the criminal complaint.
