SHEBOYGAN — Creekside and Arrowhead are two little known parks on Sheboygan’s south side.
Access to Creekside Park is located at South 18th Street and Fox Hill Road and is only marked by a “No dumping of any kind” sign. Fisherman’s Creek runs through the park. Arrowhead Park is located at the end of Rammer Court near Horace Mann Middle School.
Both parks are wooded and owned by the City of Sheboygan according to land records. But you won’t find either of them on Google Maps or your GPS.
“These two parks are considered Conservancy Parks in our Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan.” said Joe Kerlin, the city’s Superintendent of Parks & Forestry when asked about the story behind Creekside and Arrowhead. Despite no signage, Kerlin confirmed the two parks are open to the public but did not know the history surrounding the parks.
The official address for Arrowhead Park is 2833 Ashby Court while Creekside Park has no address.
