Fire damages two houses on Sheboygan’s north side

SHEBOYGAN — A fire damaged two houses in Sheboygan’s North Railway neighborhood Friday night.

The Sheboygan Fire Department was called around 7:30 PM on Friday, January 12th to a residential structure fire at 1541 North Avenue. The fire had apparently started in the attached garage and spread to the neighboring house to the east at 1537 North Avenue.

North Avenue between North 15th Street and North 19th Street was closed for several hours while firefighters worked to extinguish the fire.

The American Red Cross is assisting two families dispatched by the fire.

These two homes were damaged by a fire on North Avenue.

Off-duty firefighters have been called into work to man fire stations while crews are at the scene. 1541 North Avenue is owned by Pamela J. Nespodzany and 1537 North Avenue is owned by Joseph P. Bonelli.
