PLYMOUTH — For the past 10 years, Plymouth has dropped cheese from a fire truck to ring in the new year.
The Plymouth Arts Center will present its 11th annual New Year’s Eve Celebration on Sunday, December 31st from 8:30 PM into early Monday morning. This free, family event will feature live musical entertainment by the Honeygoats, Jjaru, and Bella Musik and the nationally acclaimed “Big Cheese Drop” at 10 PM.
The Sartori Company will donate free cheese wedges to the first 250 families in attendance. Prior to the event, build your S’more at the bonfire in the Arts Plaza starting at 9 PM and join in the excitement of the Big Cheese Drop at 10 PM.
Music continues in the building until 12:30 AM with a complimentary champagne toast at midnight. Enjoy a cheese hors d’oeuvres table courtesy of the Sartori Company. In the spirit of Arts Center gatherings, visitors may bring an appetizer or dessert to share. A cash bar will be available. New Year’s Eve in the Cheese Capital of the World is generously sponsored by the Sartori Company of Plymouth.
This event has consistently made the national and regional news, and has been on the list of the top 10 things to do on New Year’s Eve.
