Driver dead after crashing into Acuity Insurance sign


SHEBOYGAN — A driver is dead after crashing into cement sign outside Acuity Insurance on South Taylor Drive in Sheboygan.

At approximately 7:08 PM on Friday, November 10th, the Sheboygan Fire Department was dispatched to Acuity Insurance, 2800 South Taylor Drive, for a vehicle that had crashed into a cement sign.

Firefighters and paramedics started CPR when they arrived on scene. The driver, a 58-year-old Sheboygan Falls woman, was pronounced dead at the scene according to Lieutenant Bill Adams. Extrication equipment was needed to remove the driver from the vehicle.

The vehicle was southbound when it left the roadway and struck a sign. There were no other occupants in the vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.

The southbound lanes of South Taylor Drive at Union Avenue were closed while the Sheboygan Police Department investigated the fatal accident.
