Dr. Coates sees patients at Prevea Behavioral Care, located at 3425 Superior Avenue in Sheboygan. He completed medical school at the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences; residency at University of Toledo Medical Center; and a fellowship at Medical University of South Carolina. “In the treatment of children’s mental health, I believe in a thoughtful and cautious approach,” said Dr. Coates. “My first and most important task is to understand each child’s unique place in the world. As I gather information, I piece together an image of their life and their struggles. I aim to assess each child and family separate from any past treatment, and determine which approach is best.”
