SHEBOYGAN — The Sheboygan Area School District is expected to hire Seth Harvatine as the district’s next Superintendent of Schools.
The Sheboygan Area School District Board of Education will be holding a special session meeting on Monday, September 18th. The purpose of the meeting is to interview an internal candidate for Superintendent of the Sheboygan Area School District.
“In the course of those discussions, it became apparent that we have an excellent internal candidate,” said Board of Education President Marcia Reinthaler. “We are conducting a wide-ranging interview with Seth Harvatine on September 18th and will be discussing further at a future meeting date to take action on his candidacy or to continue the superintendent search.”
Harvatine is the Assistant Superintendent of Student and Instructional Services in the Sheboygan Area School District. He has been with the school district since 1998 in roles that include instructional technology trainer and curriculum specialist, and principal at two elementary school before being appointed to Assistant Superintendent in 2015.
The Board of Education has researched several options for moving forward with the hiring of the next superintendent including hiring an external search firm, the Board conducting a search, and appointing an internal candidate.
