City of Sheboygan launches new phone number to assist residents

SHEBOYGAN — The City of Sheboygan has launched a new phone number that will connect residents to City Hall and other city departments.

The phone number, (920) 459-4000, was launched this week and provides callers access to the city’s Police, Fire, Building Inspection, Finance and Public Works departments as well as the offices of the Mayor, City Administrator, City Attorney and the City Clerk.

“During the Strategic Planning approval process, a recommendation of city residents was that the City should have a general phone number that provides access to all city departments with one number,” said Chad Pelishek, the city’s Director of Planning & Development. “Also when we market the City, having a general number was felt to be better to advertise on marketing propaganda then choosing an individual department.”

The number also connects callers to the city’s Department of Planning & Development, Human Resources, Shoreline Metro and the Senior Activity Center.
