Suspect on the loose after dangerous high-speed pursuit in Sheboygan County

OOSTBURG — Sheboygan County sheriff’s deputy attempted to pull over a vehicle Friday afternoon but the driver instead led law enforcement on a high-speed pursuit.

Around 5:09 PM on Friday, July 14th, a deputy attempted to pull over a vehicle near Interstate 43 and County Road AA when the vehicle sped off from the vehicle. The pursuit went south on Interstate 43 from Oostburg. A deputy reported speeds reached over 110 MPH before the driver exited the interstate into Cedar Grove where the driver blew through a stop-sign. Deputies discontinued the pursuit for safety concerns.

Another sheriff’s deputy spotted the vehicle moments later on Six Mile Road at County Road D. The vehicle, again, failed to stop for the deputy and continued to led deputies on a high-speed pursuit. During the pursuit, the offending vehicle ran a sheriff’s squad off the road and also hit another vehicle head-on in Ozaukee County.

The driver remains on the loose.
