RANDOM LAKE — The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a rollover crash Sunday on Highway 57 south of County Road D in the Town of Sherman.
Sheriff’s deputies determined that a southbound vehicle lost control and exited the west side of the roadway striking a traffic sign and utility pole shortly before 12 PM on Sunday, July 9th. The vehicle rolled coming to rest on its roof. The operator, 46 year old Corey Shaver of Sheboygan, was trapped in the vehicle and had to be removed by Jaws of Life from Random Lake Fire Department.
He was transported via Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital as a result of his serious injuries. Shaver was driving his 2002 Hyundai Sonata.
The passenger, Jason Baysinger, a 34 year old male from Plymouth, was conveyed via Random Lake Ambulance to St. Nicholas Hospital for evaluation of non-life threatening injuries. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Random Lake Ambulance, Random Lake Fire Department, Silver Creek Fire Department, and Flight for Life.
“The accident remains under investigation by the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office,” said Sergeant Matt Spence. “It is undetermined what citations may be issued as the investigation progresses.”
