SHEBOYGAN — Tickets are now available for June-A-Paloooza, an adults-only extravaganza that benefits Meals On Wheels of Sheboygan County.
The event is held at the always-enchanting Christopher Farm & Gardens from 3 PM to 10 PM on Saturday, June 24. Themed “Through the Kaleidoscope,” the event will feature a colorful array of tantalizing treats and delectable drinks from some of Sheboygan County’s best establishments including Parker John’s BBQ & Pizza, Blackwolf Run, Sargento and Masters Gallery.
Guests will have the opportunity to stroll along garden pathways, create a mandala stone, delight in vivid 40-foot kites flying through the air, chat with acclaimed kaleidoscope artist Robert C. Anderson (and bid on one of his original creations), take in a yoga demonstration, and ride the garden train, or hop on the trackless train for a tour of the grounds.
For those looking to upgrade their ticket, there is the opportunity to explore the gardens from the air in a helicopter that will glide overhead and around Sheboygan before returning guests back to the fun.
“Mr. Christopher is so kind to allow us to hold such an event on his amazing property,” said Meals On Wheels CEO Kelly Heyn. “Guests can get an up close look at these private gardens while enjoying some great food, drinks, wonderful music, and amazing art. All while helping to support our frailest neighbors.”
Music will fill the air throughout the day. Featured bands include: The Grey Beards, The Belle Weather, The Bluetones, the Sheboygan Pops Concert Band and Beer Belly Idols.
A continued highlight of June-A-Palooza is the auctioning of 3-foot and 5-foot metal forks and spoons. This year only a dozen are available to choose from.
These masterpieces are displayed throughout Sheboygan County leading up to the event. June-A-Palooza is the only place to see all of the artwork in one location and bid on your favorite. The June-A-Palooza chairs, Jay Christopher of Christopher Farm & Gardens and Ben Salzmann of ACUITY, will select their favorite masterpiece and award the artist the ‘Royal June-A-Palooza’ prize and $500.
This event is made possible thanks to premier sponsors, ACUITY and Christopher Farm & Gardens, as well as support from American Orthodontics, Bank First National, BMO Harris Bank, Johnsonville, Kohler, Co., Masters Gallery, Sargento, Sartori, Vollrath and Wisconsin Bank & Trust.
Tickets cost $125 in advance or $150 at the gate. A limited number of helicopter rides are available for an additional $50, and a limited number of preferred parking spots are available for $100. For more information and to purchase tickets visit www.juneapalooza.com or call (920) 451-7011.
All proceeds from the event benefit Meals On Wheels of Sheboygan County to support the mission of Meals On Wheels, to enhance the quality of independent living through affordable, nutritious home-delivered and home-cooked meals with caring social interaction.
