SHEBOYGAN — There will soon be one less grocery store in Sheboygan.
It was announced Friday that the Pick ‘n Save store located at 2625 South Business Drive on the city’s south side will close before June 30th or once all inventory is sold. James Hyland, a spokesman for Kroger’s Milwaukee-area Roundy’s division, said the store was underperforming.
The Pick ‘n Save store on South Business Drive was once the site of a K-Mart store before it was razed in 2011 to make way for the new Pick ‘n Save store. Sheboygan is currently served by two Piggly Wiggly stores, two Walmart stores, a Festival Foods store, Aldi, Save-A-Lot and Target, all of which sell groceries. Meijer and Walmart-owned Sam’s Club are expected to be stores in the next two years.
Pick ‘n Save stores in Kenosha, New Berlin and Pewaukee are also closing.
