His injuries are serious according to the Sheriff’s Department.

While the investigation is not complete, initial findings would suggest that speed, winter weather and road conditions were a factor in the crash according to Sergeant Matt Spence of the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department.

The operator was wearing a seatbelt and there was airbag deployment.

The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Town of Wilson Fire Department and First Responders, Oostburg Fire Department, Oostburg Ambulance, and Orange Cross Ambulance. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Carlton Automotive.

The name of the 16 year old was not released by the Sheriff’s Department.
