UW-Sheboygan defeats UW-Fox Valley, again

SHEBOYGAN — The UW-Sheboygan Boys Basketball Team 9-6 defeated UW-Fox Valley 1-11 by a score of 94-79.

The Wombats lit up the scoreboard Monday night by getting easy buckets underneath, but the Cyclones of Fox Valley always ended up responding with a big 3 or a drive.

“Tonight is a win for our program, but we need to improve our defense significantly,” said William Greenwood, Head Men’s Basketball Coach. “If we want to compete for a divisional title it must improve and fast.”

UW-Sheboygan was led by TJ Pitsch, who scored 32 points.  A big help from two new players to the Wombats.  Oostburg’s Kortu Josiah scored 18 points and Howards Grove’s Alex Strege added 12 points. Nate Serketich scored 12 points as well.

UW-Sheboygan takes on UW-Washington 8-3 in a WCC East matchup on Wednesday, January 11th at 7 PM on Jack Snyder Court at UW-Sheboygan.
