Remington to speak at Shoreline Women’s Club

SHEBOYGAN — Detective Tamara Remington will be the guest speaker at the Shoreline Women’s Club meeting held at the Sheboygan Yacht Club.

Her topic of presentation and discussion will be Human Trafficking.  Detective Remington began her career with the San Jose Police Department and then came to Sheboygan in 2004. “She said she is impressed with how the department works with the community on how to remedy problems before they become a bigger issue,” said Mary Mickelson, Vice President of the Shoreline Women’s Club.

Since being promoted to detective in March of 2012, Detective Remington has worked on several high profile cases involving human trafficking, homicide, and bank robbery.  Some of these cases have been adopted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Milwaukee for federal prosecution.  Her involvement with the Jason Guidry arrest led to the first ever acceptance of a human trafficking case by the federal government which was led by a Sheboygan County officer.
