SHEBOYGAN — The Golden Raiders defeated Oostburg 73 to 66 to win the Raider Shootout for the second year in a row.
Sheboygan North was led by Zach Hasenstein with 21 points and 16 came in the second-half. “He did a nice job attacking the rim and working on the defensive end,” said Head Coach Eric Worth. Right behind Hasenstein was Brent Widder with 17 points with 12 of them coming the second-half. Widder hit a three for Sheboygan North with about four mins to go that extended North’s lead to six.
Tristen VanEss led Oostburg with 31 points, followed by Brett Ebbers with 12 points and Tadeo Maier with 10 points.
Oostburg is tough added Worth. “They bring it from start to finish and you just know they aren’t going to beat themselves,” said Worth. “They’re great competitors and it was a hard fought win for us.”
