PLYMOUTH — The Plymouth High School Dance Teams will host a Souper fundraiser, featuring soups donated by local restaurants.

The event will be held from 4:30 PM to 7 PM on Tuesday, December 13 in the Plymouth High School cafeteria, located at 125 Highland Avenue in Plymouth. Tickets are $7 for adults, which include a choice of three soups, rolls, dessert and beverage; and $5 for children ages 5-10, which includes a choice of one soup, a roll, dessert and beverage.

Proceeds help fund competition costs and uniform replacement. Attendees also can bid on raffle baskets and participate in a 50/50 raffle throughout the evening. Tickets are available at the door or from any dance team member or from Coach Todd Williams at (920) 893-6911 ext. 1737.

Middle-school girls basketball to begin soon

Plymouth-area girls in grades seven and eight are invited to participate in extracurricular basketball.

Middle-school sports, which are open to all area students whether they attend public or parochial school or are homeschooled, are coordinated by Plymouth School District Community Education and Recreation. The cost is $20 per sport.

The seventh-grade team is coached by Gina Krueger and Brad Mey. The initial meeting will begin at 3 PM on Tuesday, December 13th in the gym at Riverview Middle School, located at 300 Riverside Circle.

The eighth-grade team is coached by Amy Williams and Sarah Michlig. The initial meeting will be at 3 PM on Wednesday, December 14th in the Riverview gym. Parents are encouraged to attend the meeting along with players.

Practices will begin Wednesday, January 4th, with seventh grade practicing from 2:45 PM to 4 PM and eighth grade from 4 PM to 5:15 PM daily. The season consists of 10 conference games between January 10th and February 16th. Each grade has an A and a B team, which differ by skill level.
