SHEBOYGAN — The Town of Sheboygan Board approved Tuesday night the construction of 56 apartment units on Enterprise Drive.
Premier Real Estate Management of Brookfield, Wisconsin will develop, build and manage seven buildings, each having eight units, in the Green Meadows Subdivision on Enterprise Drive. Neighbors expressed concerns about the type of tenants occupying the rental units as well as traffic and pedestrian safety. Ultimately, the Town Board approved the Rezoning & Conditional Use Permit for the construction of the apartments.
Premier Real Estate also has 46 units on the south side of Enterprise Drive, some of which are still under construction and should be completed in early to mid 2017. The company was also approved by the Town Board to build 46 units on Playbird Road.
Members of the Board directed the Town Engineer to look at options for sidewalks and/or bike paths along Enterprise Drive from Dairyland Drive to Lakeshore Road.
The Town Board also approved its 2017 budget. Also approved Tuesday night was the Room Tax Commission and Tourism Zone Agreement by and between the City of Sheboygan, Town of Wilson and Town of Sheboygan.
Town of Sheboygan Lions Club presented the Town with a $5,000 donation for Rudy Mahler Park, located at North 10th Street and Eisner Avenue. MySheboygan reached out to William Blashka, the Town’s Public Works Director, about the project but has not returned our requests for additional information as of Friday morning.
