RANDOM LAKE — Spieker’s Pumpkin Farm is a pumpkin patch located north of the Random Lake village limits.
The family owned and operated pumpkin farm, located on Highway 57 between County Road SS and County Road D, features a small petting zoo when you first walk in, with a goat and donkey. Then you can grab a wagon and pick out your pumpkins! The barn has smaller pumpkins as well as other fall decorations. There are pumpkins of various sizes on pallets, trailers and in crates for visitors of all sizes to chose from.
If you want a wider selection you can walk a little further into the 30 acre field full of pumpkins. There are big ones, small ones, round ones and tall ones. On weekends, free hayrides are offered to visitors so they can search for their perfect pumpkin. Also open during the weekends is the Charlie Brown-themed corn maze for $5 per person and a concessions stand is located on site, where visitors can get a hot chocolate or a hot apple cider, or maybe some popcorn, nachos or a caramel apple, all at an affordable price. “It’s really nice to have a cup of hot cider while you’re walking around on a cool autumn day,” remarked a mother from Glenbeluah who was visiting with her daughter.
Spieker’s Pumpkin Farm is open weekdays from 10 AM to dark and weekends from 9 AM to dark. The farm is located at N1181 Highway 57 in Random Lake.
